Bochum, March 17th 2022 | Articy announces today that a free version of its acclaimed tool for organizing interactive stories, articy:draft 3 FREE, will be released on April 4th 2022, in addition to the paid version already available. The free stand-alone version will include all features and is not restricted by a time limit. It comes with unlimited projects, commercial rights and 660 free objects for each project.
What is articy:draft?
articy:draft is designed to help writers and narrative designers keep track of all their storylines and have a clear overview over their story. In addition to writing branching dialogue, the tool enables users to manage all their narrative content such as characters, locations, assets, global variables and more, in a visual way. From the greatest overarching view to a single dialogue line, your story can be built up in a nested flow view and examined at any time for its coherence and possible logical errors. One especially practical feature is that all content in articy:draft can be exported to the respective engines with just a few clicks thanks to Unreal and Unity dedicated importers and a JSON export for other engines.
articy:draft is used by studios both big and small. Companies such as THQ Nordic (Spellforce III), Playrix (Gardenscapes) and Anshar Studios (Gamedec) manage their stories using articy:draft. Limbic Entertainment, for example, also used the tool during the development of Tropico 6, as well as studio ZA/UM for the realization of the surprise RPG hit Disco Elysium.
